Metal Clay Earrings Workshop (All Levels) with Paula Beckett

  • Craft Guild of Dallas 3410 Midcourt Road Carrollton, TX, 75006 United States (map)

Transform pliable metal clay into solid fine silver earrings.  This is a hands-on workshop, in which students will learn how easy and versatile metal clay can be in making jewelry.  Metal clay is an innovative material made of recycled microscopic pure silver particles mixed with an organic binder and water.  By the end of class, students will design, fire and polish one pair of custom earrings.

Skills taught:  Rolling texture on to the clay, shaping the clay, making and attaching dry components to dry clay, torch firing the piece using a simple kitchen torch.

We will also make custom ear wires.

All tools and consumables used in this class are provided by the instructor.
