Exploring Cubism Through Acrylic Painting with Tiffanie Brunson

In this class, we’ll explore Cubism, one of the most influential art movements of the 20th century. Cubism challenged traditional ways of seeing by breaking subjects into geometric shapes and showing multiple viewpoints at once.

We’ll take a look at the work of Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, two of the pioneers of Cubism, and briefly discuss their inspirations.

After reviewing examples and key concepts, you’ll create your own cubism-inspired painting using acrylics. This is not about copying famous works, but about interpreting a subject through simplified shapes, overlapping planes, and expressive color. The goal is exploration, not perfection — all experience levels are welcome.
