Leather Apron with Maggie Fusaro
Create a timeless leather apron handcrafted by you. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of leatherworking while building a premium-quality apron designed to last for years. Join Emilie once a month for a relaxing Saturday morning crochet class. This class is open to complete beginners and to intermediate crocheters who want support, structure and inspiration.
Beginners:
You will learn how to hold your hook and yarn, make basic stitches and start a simple project you can continue at home or during our weekly class. We go step by step so you feel confident and enjoy the process.
Intermediate level:
This is the perfect place if you already know the basics or if you started a project and got stuck. Bring your work in progress or a pattern you do not understand and I will help you move forward, improve your technique and finish your project.
Materials:
You can bring your own hook and yarn.
If you do not have any material, I offer a starter pack for $20 that includes everything you need for to start your journey.

This 2 day workshop to Rigid Heddle Weaving will introduce students to weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom while making a cotton scarf. Students will learn how to direct warp a Rigid Heddle Loom ,how to change colors to make warp strips, how to load a shuttle with yarn in preparation for weaving and the principles of weaving. Suitable yarns for use on a Rigid Heddle Loom will be discussed as well as different finishing techniques.

Got a favorite something that’s been sitting in the “I really need to fix this” pile?
Bring it to Mending Sip ’n Sew and let’s finally get it back into rotation!
Bring a garment or other sewn item that needs a little attention—repair a tear, fix a hem, take something in, let something out, or tackle that mystery repair you haven’t quite known how to approach.
Your instructor will help you determine the best way to make the repair or alteration and guide you through the process while you do the work yourself.
Bring your project, your favorite beverage, and settle in for an evening of sewing, problem-solving, and good company with fellow fabric enthusiasts.

French Alps Botanical Candle & Lavender Scented Pendant Workshop with Emilie Hachoud
Step into the scents of France and create two beautiful botanical pieces for your home.
During this hands-on workshop, you will create your own botanical candle, decorated with real flowers that I personally hand-picked in the French Alps and naturally dried.
You will also make lavender scented wax pendants, designed to hang in your closet or wardrobe and gently perfume your clothes and linens. The lavender used in the pendants was also hand-picked and dried in France, bringing an authentic touch of the French countryside to your creation.
For your candle, you will choose from a selection of natural floral fragrances from Grasse, France — the world-renowned birthplace of perfumery.
You will learn how to pour, fragrance and decorate your creations, and leave the workshop with:

Hollow Form Workshop with Angela Brackbill
Hollow forms bring bold dimension to jewelry, creating pieces that appear
substantial while remaining surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear.
Over 3 days, Aug 9, Aug 16, Aug 23, students will explore the fundamentals of hollow form
construction while expanding their technical and creative skills. Through hands on
projects, participants will experiment with design and layout, explore a
variety of metal texturing techniques, and strengthen their soldering and
finishing abilities.
Students will create two unique hollow form pieces: first, a ring that introduces
the essential construction process step by step, and second, an original piece of
their own design that allows for personal expression and experimentation.
Designed for intermediate-level metals students, this workshop is open to those
who have completed at least three sessions of Foundations in Metals (Fall,
Winter, and Spring) or the equivalent. Students should be comfortable with
soldering and basic metal smithing skills.
