Fire, Smoke & Surface: Exploring the Raku Process with David Challier
Explore the fun, dynamic, and unpredictable process of Raku firing! Learn how to make pieces that will be successful in raku firing and how to glaze for raku, as well as safe firing practices, surface experimentation, and how heat, atmosphere, and timing affect results. Students will learn the history and evolution of Raku, how raku glaze is formulated for low-fire rapid cooling, and the role of combustion and reduction chambers in creating crackle, metallic, and carbonized surfaces.

In this hands-on 5 hour workshop, you’ll learn how to create a beautiful mirror mosaic tray from start to finish using a guided, step-by-step process from prepping the tray, to designing with mirror mosaics, grouting, sealing and pouring resin.
You will be guided on attaching mirror pieces for:
• Pattern placement
• Spacing techniques
• Creating both simple and intricate designs bringing your creativity to life.
The last step is the Resin Pour which gives your tray a luxury, professional look!

Crochet for Everyone with Emilie Hachoud
Crochet for Everyone
Join Emilie once a month for a relaxing Saturday morning crochet class. This class is open to complete beginners and to intermediate crocheters who want support, structure and inspiration.
Beginners:
You will learn how to hold your hook and yarn, make basic stitches and start a simple project you can continue at home or during our weekly class. We go step by step so you feel confident and enjoy the process.
Intermediate level:
This is the perfect place if you already know the basics or if you started a project and got stuck. Bring your work in progress or a pattern you do not understand and I will help you move forward, improve your technique and finish your project.
Materials:
You can bring your own hook and yarn.

A workshop designed for intermediate and advanced wheelthrowers who are ready to create BIGGER work. Explore the tools and essential techniques needed to successfully make larger vessels. In this first workshop, David will share tips on working at a larger scale, wedging for success, centering large amounts of clay, and throwing ergonomically. Participants should be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance.

Working with Gold-Filled Metal for Jewelry Fabrication with Mary Fritsche
In this course, students will review various options available for gold-filled materials, examine how the material is made and learn the best practices for soldering gold-filled.
Students will begin with soldering and practicing on simple jump rings. Next, students will fabricate 2 finished pieces, using wire and 14k gold filled sheet.

Weaving a Scarf on Rigid Heddle Loom with Linda Fleming
This 2 day workshop to Rigid Heddle Weaving will introduce students to weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom while making a cotton scarf. Students will learn how to direct warp a Rigid Heddle Loom ,how to change colors to make warp strips, how to load a shuttle with yarn in preparation for weaving and the principles of weaving. Suitable yarns for use on a Rigid Heddle Loom will be discussed as well as different finishing techniques.

Felted Flower Making with Sondra von Gyllenband
Learn how to create beautiful, everlasting felted flowers using soft wool fibers and simple felting techniques. In this relaxed and creative workshop, students will design and make several unique flowers that can be used as brooches, pins, hat decorations, or embellishments for clothing and home décor.
You will learn how to shape petals, build layered blossoms, and add dimension and color to bring your flowers to life. This class is perfect for beginners and fiber enthusiasts alike.

Nuno Felting Trellis Scarf and Mosaic Vest with Patti Barker
Day 1: Learn Nuno Felting Basics:The Trellis Scarf was originally designed for my linear friends,
but since inception, it has morphed into whatever the maker desires. This is a beginner friendly class
that results in gorgeous scarves every time because the hand-dyed silks match the hand-painted wool roving beautifully. We will explore line drawing with wool, felting and fulling techniques, and finishing tricks. Participants walk out with a finished piece of wearable art.
Materials are $30 and include silk, wool and printed instructions.
Many color choices will be offered for the choosing.
Days 2+3: The Mosaic Nuno Felt Vest
In this two-day nuno felt garment workshop participants will learn how to work with an open resist pattern in their size, practice mosaic nuno felt techniques, learn finishing and shaping tricks as well as troubleshooting issues. Materials are $80 and include yardage of hand-dyed silks, fine merino roving,a resist pattern and printed instructions. Instructor will bring pattern templates is various sizes.

Beginner Welding for Art Workshop with Gwenna Polley
Start exploring welding for art in this one day workshop. In the morning we’ll learn safety and basic tack welds to be able to piece small projects together, and all work together on a group project to let everyone get involved. In the afternoon we’ll learn safety will work on small individual projects in the form of small animals made from bolts, nuts, washers, and nails.
This is a great opportunity to begin exploring welding for art in a fun and engaging setting.

Texas Landscapes with Tiffanie Brunson
In this workshop, students will learn how to paint a Texas focused on big skies, natural color palettes, and simplified landforms. We’ll cover how to mix warm earth tones, create depth with layered brushwork, and paint elements like wildflowers, trees, and open fields in a loose, approachable style.
