Whether you're an aspiring jewelry maker eager to craft your own glass beads or someone who simply wants to explore the realm of glass art, our Glass Studio is here to nurture your creative journey.

  • Our Glass Fusing classes offer a comprehensive exploration of essential tools, equipment, design principles, firing techniques, and glass preparation. Unleash your creative potential by designing and crafting intricate fused glass pieces that are ideal for jewelry or decorative elements in your living space.

  • Our Stained, Leaded, and Fused Glass class provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the creation of beautiful leaded and stained-glass panels.

  • This class combines glass and an open flame (bench mounted torch) to make unique glass items (beads, small sculptures, etc.) using soft glass. All levels are included from beginning bead makers (who are accommodated with an available beginner tool and glass kit) to more advanced students who want to increase their knowledge, improve their skills. Areas covered will be: basic bead making, decorations (frit, stringers, dots) up to encasing, fuming and more.

  • Have you ever needed more time to finish that project you started in class?  Or time to work on something new you wanted to try…or just some extra time to complete some of those unfinished projects you have sitting around the house?  The Glass Department is opening up the Wednesday morning class (10 am to 1 pm) to allow both fusers and lampworkers to have time to work on their own projects.  There will be a studio monitor present but no instructor and everyone will need to bring their own tools and supplies (glass may be purchased from studio monitor).  This time is for the entire session, not on a drop-in basis.
