Nuno Felting Coat with Patti Barker

  • Craft Guild of Dallas 3410 Midcourt Road Carrollton, TX, 75006 United States (map)

Create a flowing, lightweight nuno felt coat in a color palette uniquely your own. Over five inspiring days you’ll learn to draft a custom-sized resist pattern and transform silks and fine wool into a seamless garment—without sewing. Discover how to harness the clothes dryer as part of the felting process while exploring a variety of fulling techniques that produce beautifully finished fabric with wonderful drape and wearability. Along the way, Patti will share invaluable tips and professional finishing techniques to help you refine your coat into a one-of-a-kind wearable art statement piece. This immersive five-day workshop is ideal for adventurous fiber artists ready to expand their skills. Please note that the class requires extended periods of standing.
