An art instructor is showing a seated woman how to paint on a canvas at an art class. The woman is holding a paintbrush, and the instructor is pointing at her painting. The setting is a community art studio with easels, painting supplies, and a bookshelf filled with books and artwork.

Painting

I grew up in Dallas and moved to Georgia to attend Savannah College of Art and Design, graduating in 2011 with a BFA in Painting and a minor in Dance. My preferred painting medium for representational art is oils, but I prefer paints that have a bit more organic movement (like watered-down acrylic and watercolors) for my large-scale abstract pieces. I recently joined the teaching team at The Craft Guild.
